NAT (National Aptitude Test) is an all India level common entrance test is conducted under the aegis of Society for Research & Development in Education (SRDE), Delhi for admission in to various UG programs like BA, BBA, BCA, BFT, B.Com, BHMCT and PG programs like MBA, MCA, M.Com, MFT, MMC, MIB, PGDCA, PGDBM, PGDBA offered by the Institutions registered with SAHEI. SAHEI conducts the National Aptitude Test at the under graduate and post graduate level i.e NAT-UG (for Under-Graduate programs) and NAT-PG (for Post-Graduate programs).
The NAT-UG and NAT-PG test is conducted every year in 23 cities across India. There are several universities and institutions accepting scores of NAT-UG/ NAT-PG. However several more Institutes accept NAT scores which have not registered with SAHEI. Each Participating Institution has different weight age for NAT score for different programs.

Eligibility Criteria for NAT 
Candidates who are willing to take up the entrance test NAT 2012 must fulfill the eligibility criteria as follows:
For NAT-UG: Candidates who are going to appear / have appeared in the 10+2 of recognized boards of the current year are eligible to appear for NAT-UG and their Results will be valid only if they clear the senior secondary or equivalent examination of the approved boards.
For NAT–PG: Candidates who have appeared / are going to appear in the final year of the graduate degrees courses of UGC/AICTE recognized universities/institutions are eligible to appear for NAT-PG and their Results will be valid only if they clear the qualifying examination.
How to Apply for NAT 
Candidates who are willing to take the NAT-UG and NAT-PG 2012 bulletin along with the registration form can be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 650 from:

By sending crossed demand draft for Rs.750/- drawn in favor of "SRDE's Association of Higher Education Institutions (SAHEI)" payable at New Delhi to : “SRDE-SAHEI, A-1/4, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi – 110 085 (India) Phone: 011-27945852, 27948146”.  Request for bulletin-cum-registration form must reach the above address latest by April, 30, 2012 and the duly completed application form must be received by the last date of receipt of form (i.e.30th April 2012).

The candidates may procure the NAT information bulletin for Rs. 650 only and should fill up the enclosed OMR registration form for NAT-UG or NAT-PG as the case may be.
The specimen registration form for NAT duly filled in with the data of a specimen candidate is enclosed in the NAT form.  Please send the filled-in registration form at an early date, so that it reaches the NAT’s office at“SAHEI, A-1/4, Sector-8, Rohini, Delhi-110085” on or before April 30, 2012.
SAHEI will not be responsible for any postal delay or non-receipt of Bulletin and the application form by the last date. The completed Registration form can be mailed by affixing necessary postal stamps by ordinary post or by any other mode /manner (Speed Post, Registered Post, Courier Mail) etc.

Change of Test Center is not allowed.

Paper Pattern for NAT 
The NAT 2012 is an objective type multiple-choice answer tests.
For NAT-UG:
The question paper consists of a total 170 objective type questions. The question paper is divided into 5 sections as English Comprehension and Language (30 Question), Numerical Ability (30), Non Verbal & Verbal reasoning (30), General Knowledge (30), Socio Economic Environment (40).
Each questions carrying one mark.
The duration of the exam is 150 minutes.
For every correct answer one mark is awarded.
For no answer- zero mark is awarded.
For wrong answer- 1/4 th of a mark is deducted from the gross score.
For NAT-PG:
The question paper consists of a total 200 objective type questions. The question paper is divided into 5 sections as English Comprehension and Language (30 Question), Socio Economic Environment (40), Quantitative Skills (40), Intelligence and Critical Reasoning (40), Data Analysis (40).
Each questions carrying one mark.
The duration of the exam is 150 minutes.
For every correct answer one mark is awarded.
For no answer- zero mark is awarded.
For wrong answer- 1/4 th of a mark is deducted from the gross score.
